Plus Size Fashionable Dresses
Today’s plus-sized lady’s fashions are more available and affordable than ever. Plus Size Fashionable Dresses
Just because you are a plus-sized woman doesn’t mean you can’t wear the latest dress styles. It used to be that unflattering colors and styles for plus-sized women were the norms. Today, however, plus-sized ladies have just as many options as their non-plus counterparts. Knowing where to look, and what to look for, can make shopping for plus-sized dresses a great deal easier.
Many stores not typically associated with plus-sized clothing now offer an extensive and varied selection.
One of the least expensive and most convenient places to purchase plus sized clothing is Wal-Mart. The store itself may not be synonymous with fashion, but you’ll typically find at least a couple of dress styles that suit your frame (and your budget) if you take some time to look.
Another good option is a store called Torrid, which is a sister store of the more familiar Hot Topic. It’s more expensive than Wal-Mart, but typically provides a selection that can’t be beaten. You can find dress styles in a Goth, edgy, sexy look at middle-of-the-road prices. The store also has reasonably priced foundation garments, which are crucial in achieving that “put together” look. Whatever may currently be in fashion, this store has it.
Fashion Bug Plus Size Fashionable Dresses is another leader in the clothing market for curvy girls. This store’s dress styles tend more toward fancy and elegant than those of its competitors. Also offered are plus-sized ladies undergarments, although the quality in this department is sometimes lacking. In addition, Fashion Bug’s prices are on the high side, and some of the fabrics are dry-cleaned only. If you’re willing to spend a bit more on what you want, this store can provide you with some very desirable options.
If you live in a larger city, JC Penny may be a good option. Their plus sized clothing section typically has an extensive selection available, but this is more prevalent in cities with a high population density. The dress styles are not only in good taste and reasonably priced, but they’re of high quality, as well. Some of the larger stores even have a plus-sized ladies’ lingerie section. Smaller stores may have slim pickings available in plus-sized women dress styles, but may still be worth a look on your next shopping excursion.
Finally, Lane Bryant is one of the leaders in fashionable clothing for full-figured women. Their dress styles typically have an elegant appeal that many ladies prefer. Much like Fashion Bug Plus, the prices are a little high; if money is a concern, you may want to limit purchases at this store to special occasions and outfits you cannot live without. Lane Bryant also has an extensive selection of foundation garments to go with your outfit. Be sure to look at their catalog, as well, since they have different selections in their catalog than are available in their stores. Although unknown to most shoppers, the Lane Bryant clothing store and the Lane Bryant catalog are actually two separate companies.
